Living with pain isn't easy and the chances are you may also be feeling tired, anxious, depressed and grumpy which can spiral into a negative outlook on life.

Reiki can be used as a natural way to treat your physical pain and your associated emotions in relation to that pain. In some cases, Reiki can induce such a deep state of muscle relaxation that you may feel pain-free and much less anxious during a treatment session.  

In Reiki, physical ailments such as mild to acute pain, are said to be symptoms of a root cause. The difference between Reiki and Western medicine is that Reiki treats the root cause in order to treat your physical symptoms.

Western medicine, on the other hand, is helpful for immediate relief from your symptoms, however, these symptoms will continue to require treatment unless the root cause is dealt with and healed.  

You should always consult medical advice if your symptoms are very severe, however, Reiki is an effective complementary therapy. If symptoms are not very severe it can be used as an alternative to Western medicine.

How does Reiki treat the root?

Reiki teaches us that all physical symptoms manifest from energetic imbalances (the root cause). Reiki is universal life force energy and has all the wisdom of the universe, so it knows where your energetic imbalance is. It will go to the area of your body that requires balancing and it will stay there for as long as you need it.

When sending you Reiki energy, the Usui Reiki power symbol is used to amplify the energy sent to you. The distance healing symbol is also used to get to you by transcending space and time. The mental/emotional symbol is used to help bring your emotions to the surface so they can be addressed and released if they are ready.

Finally, the most powerful symbol of all is used, the Reiki master symbol. This combines all the powers of the previous symbols and is capable of accessing the highest of vibrations for you. It's used to provide you with protection from negativity and help you restore your energy and achieve balance, promoting a healthy physical body.

How many Reiki therapy sessions will I need?

Remember, Reiki energy healing works towards your highest good and best interests, going wherever it's needed, for the correct length of time and in the best order. Reiki healing energy may only balance out energies which are ready to be transmuted and so, although one session may be enough, for deep-rooted issues you may benefit from a longer course of treatment. These can be performed either weekly or fortnightly.

What information do I need to provide before my Reiki therapy?

To facilities sending you Reiki therapy, please can you provide me with the following information (where available), to info@thatreikithing.com. 

1. A photograph of yourself to act as your surrogate during treatment.
2. Returned Client Intake Form (I'll email you this)
3. Returned Client Consent Form (I'll email you this)

Treatment Location

Distance treatments are giving to you from my home in Manchester, England, UK. Therapy sessions can take place over Skype if preferred.
